What Is a Georgia Registered Agent?

A Georgia Registered Agent is a person or business you designate to receive official legal documents on behalf of your company, including service of process, state correspondence, and legal mail. When you form an LLC or corporation, your registered agent’s name and address are filed with the Georgia Secretary of State and made publicly available as your Registered Office.

Service of process refers to the formal delivery of legal documents by a process server, sheriff, or marshal, typically in the event of a lawsuit or employee garnishment. Your registered agent receives these documents and promptly delivers them to you.

As your Georgia Registered Agent, we maintain a Metro Atlanta physical business address and are available during normal business hours to receive official documents. All items are scanned and emailed promptly, and original documents are securely retained for 90 days for pickup or physical forwarding upon request.
